I am 20, graduated high school in 2008 and im currently in College finishing up my basics and working on a degree in Sales/Marketing . I’m looking to land a job in the Part time job in car-sales industry, but i hear its Hard work and its really a Full-time type Job, but i strong believe i can balance the job and my coursework, possible? I have some sales experience because i’ve worked in retail sales and Ive done credit sales in retail (getting customers to apply for charge cards), though I do have the people skills and professionalism to make a great salesman. Most dealerships I’ve applied for say they are willing to train. I had an interview at Car Max and some other local dealerships Today I went and dropped off my resume at one, then went to another and filled out an application there, then picked up an application from another dealership and will fill it out and drop it off tomorrow. So I’m hitting quite a few places which I think will help my chances of landing a job. The only concern I have is getting my foot in the door. So, what do I do to set myself apart from other applicants with sales experience? I hear the PAY IS Hourly Plus Commisson, So if im working 30hr wks and getting /hr plus 20% commissons i should be making alot of $$$$$$$ in the process. so is it all really this easy if i master the dealership trainings and dynamics of the car sales or is this impossible? PLZ ALL ADVICE AND COMMENTS ARE WELCOME. ESPECIALLY EXPERIENCED CAR SALESMAN!

Alright a more detailed version.

I am not nervous when speaking.
Nor do i speak to fast.
I have had several sales/presentation trainings and i am quite good at it.

So these are the problems i have…
I forget to say words like "the" and "it"

example: instead of "the door is closed" i would say "door is closed"

Also i tend to combine words wanting to say two different things but fail and just combine them into one word.
Actually i do.. you have a source Hocobo?

sounds interesting.

My company is planning to take up training for our staff online, a different approach to the contemporary off line seminars. I would like to know whether any websites out there can help us in delivering best content and trainers on sales, marketing, time management, prospecting, etc,. and how long these web seminars lasts? what’s the price they are going to charge to attend these trainings?

I am in california. I need to find a lawyer but before i do that i need to see if i actually have a case.
Senario one.
I sign up for the job as a sales rep to sell cellphones.
Now because im in an area where they have internet and tv I have to sell it. If i dont i have to go to a 6am boot camp to 8am then come back at 230 and close til 930. So i do a split shift.
My goal that i signed is 3 sold a month . If i dont sell 8 by the 3rd week of the month i get punished. my goal is only 3? we have the union but they have no teeth and wear dodgers jerseys to meetings..aka worthless. There are only 13 states that have to sell these products. And i gurantee none of them have bootcamps.
They even tell reps we have to go on our days off! is that legal?
Senario 2.
Customer feedback surveys
5 is 100% a 4 is 0%? 4 should be 80% but it is not, because at&t says so. If we dont get a survey we have to go to bootcamp at 6am because an automated system to generate a phone call to the customer house did not work. or simply because the person at home didnt want to take it? And this is only in california? Its a nationwide company why do we have to deal with all this? everyday we get accused of being offenders for not giving customer satifaction. Why do we have bootcamps or trainings at 6am when we are doing our jobs fine. if someone gives me a 4 its a 0% and we get yelled at? The math formula for the surveys is crazy, 5 is good anything else is considered a 0%. We actually get paid 75 bucks if we get 100 as a store. no one on the planet could do that. nobody is perfect. but we get sat down in meetings have boot camps lectures stress stress stress when we know everywhere else in the country doesnt have to do, only this district in california. equal rights? anyone?
if you think we have anything concrete on this let me know thanks.
We have 30 reps willing to agree to this in court. do we have a chance.

I see they’re on sale and I’m just looking for gloves for the sack after trainings to punch and practice a bit. What is your take on these gloves here and whether they are a good price for the gloves.

I have been out of work for 6 years and don’t really specialize in anything. My certificates are outdated (clerical and medical assistant) and I want to do something that’s in demand. I can’t make up my mind on what career to commit to. Right now I’m thinking of truck driving (which is what my father and my son’s father does) or massage therapy. I’ve looked into so many work from home things, but they all seem like a rip off. I’m overweight and can’t stand too long, so I need something that’s gonna be easy on my body and in demand. Any advice? Oh and I owe k to FAFSA for the medical assistant school. I’m very poor and don’t know which direction to turn. I’ve done customer service, telemarketing, was a carny, did fast food, worked in a library, had a paper route, worked in a kitchen, did production, was a file clerk, and had endless unfinished trainings in forklift, sales (cutco, tupperware, avon, beauticontrol), bank teller, and I just can’t seem to find my niche.
I’m not motivated to get up and leave the house after being a shut in for so long, so I’m not into hustling people to buy anything. I just want to work, be in the zone, be helpful and important and be paid a decent wage for something I enjoy. What I enjoy is music, being on the computer and watching TV. I like taking pictures and want to help people in a way that doesn’t drain my soul. I can’t make up my mind. How do I get the motivation I need? Please help.

I am trying to find out if I should include unearned income on my Profit and Loss Summaries as an independent mortgage originator, since there are costs associated with running a loan and many of these are absorbed by me and not the company. Would I only be able to claim the third party costs I pay? Would I even be able to claim those?

My accountant passed away without filing my taxes and I am getting different answers from everyone I contact to prepare and correct my prior years return…

I am trying to restore my P&L’s and this is more confusing than I anticipated, as I was told I could not claim milage to sales calls and trainings, but could claim losses and unearned income and this is exactly opposite what others are telling me…

Thanks in advance for your help.
I am self-employed and yes the P&L’s sent to me are on accrual and I use cash method so this is confusing me because I thought I could only claim the fees I paid on the files and not claim anything in unrealized income and now I am trying to merge the two and not be audited.
Removing the P&L’s I am now trying to figure out home office deductions- if 35% of a rented home is dedicated to home office would I have to depreciate upon vacating the lease, I just bought a home?
